Stampin' Up! Watercolour Crayons - Review & Tutorial

Stampin' Up! Watercolour Crayons - Review by Craft Critique
Reported by Sara McKenzie

These really are the best watercolor crayons that I have tried. The colors are bright and true, the consistency is creamy and smooth, and it blends and spreads well. You can use standard watercolor techniques, such as creating washes and blotting excess water to lighten areas.

I've had the best results using watercolor paper as my base. (Stampin' Up! also provides precut 140 lb cold press watercolor paper)

Stampin' Up! Watercolour Pencils - Review

Stampin' Up! Watercolour Pencils - Review by Craft Critique
Reported by Mary Chong

Stampin' Up! - Made in Germany for Stampin' Up!. Purchased only through a Stampin' Up independent demonstrator these are labeled as water colour pencils. They sharpen easily without breakage and are soft on paper. They passed all the tests with flying colours (get it - flying colours LOL) ($$$ - 6 out of 6)

I have to say I was quite surprised by the results because my pencil of choice has been the Lyra brand. Now that I've done these tests I am switching to the Stampin' Up! brand just for the versatility and blending

Stampin' Up! Hodgepodge Hardware - Review

Stampin' Up! Hodgepodge Hardware - Review by Craft Critique
Reported by Sara McKenzie

Please note: USA prices are quoted below

For some time now, Stampin' Up! has been making terrific metal embellishments for your crafts, which they call "Hodgepodge Hardware." The hardware comes in an assortment of items, all nicely organized and contained in a metal tin.

Pros:
-The embellishments are organized in a plastic liner within the metal tin. "A place for everything and everything in its place" as my mom used to say!
-It is a large assortment, and I think a pretty good value for $27.95 for the 3 finishes in the main catalog (comes to 20 cents per piece on average). The Styled Silver sells for $29.95 for 200 pieces, or 15 cents per piece.
-These are a very sturdy metal and do not bend or break easily.
-When you have used the embellishments, you still have a nice tin to store other items, or to alter and give as a gift!!

Stampin' Up! Stampin’ Pastels (Chalks) - Review

Stampin' Up! Stampin’ Pastels - Reviewed by Craft Critique

Stampin’ Pastels are very easy to use, and I would rate them a 9 of 10. I do feel that that is a very reasonable price for the quantity and especially for Stampin’ Up!’s quality product.

Stampin' Up Stack & Store Caddy - Review

Stampin' Up Stack & Store Caddy - Review by Craft Critique
Reported by Lexi Daly

The whole unit spins and the containers can be placed in any section you choose, and changed around as necessary. It's also very handy to be able to take a few containers with you without the caddy for crafting on the go. It is especially convenient if you purchase embellishments from Stampin' Up! since they often come packaged in the same containers (like the brads in the picture). I have everything in there--buttons, beads, brads, random finds, stick pins, mini crystals, and more!!--some Stampin Up!, some not. And I find that I'm more likely to use more of my cool embellishments when I can just spin the caddy and see them right there on my desk!
